How we coach - A development model designed for Cairo’s youth
Every ENHL Kids session is crafted to make the rink feel like a second home. Our curriculum combines culture-rich storytelling, skill progression, and mindful support for families discovering hockey together.
- Start with joyful fundamentals. We introduce hockey through play-based skating sessions that build balance, coordination, and confidence before sticks ever touch the ice.
- Egyptian roots, global standards. Certified youth coaches blend local storytelling with the latest development models so every child learns in a culturally resonant, world-class environment.
- Family-first community. Parent workshops, off-ice wellness, and flexible schedules keep the entire household supported as young athletes find their stride.
Pathways - From first glide to first face-off
We guide every child through stage-based progressions so they can grow at their own pace. Coaches provide clear goals and celebratory milestones that keep kids motivated on and off the ice.
- Discover (ages 4-8). First-time skaters experience 6-week Learn to Play journeys with rental gear included, movement games, and bilingual coaching.
- Develop (ages 9-12). Players graduate into skill labs that focus on edge work, puck control, and teamwork through mixed-level scrimmages and video review.
- Compete (ages 13-17). Elite prospects join academy squads representing Cairo at regional tournaments, supported by strength training and academic guidance.
Beyond the rink - Support systems that make hockey accessible
ENHL Kids thrives because of a growing network of Cairo partners committed to lowering barriers. Together we provide the facilities, equipment, and cultural touchpoints that make hockey feel welcoming for every family.
- School partnerships. Assemblies, physical education takeovers, and field trips to the rink introduce hockey to classrooms across Cairo and Giza.
- Gear lending library. Recycled equipment, rapid-sizing stations, and custom hijab-friendly base layers remove financial and cultural barriers to play.
- Community ice festivals. Monthly pop-ups at Citystars and seasonal outdoor activations let families try street hockey, VR shooting ranges, and fan experiences together.
