The Egyptian Hockey League (EHL) is the official organized ice hockey league in Egypt, founded in 2021 and headquartered in Cairo. The league runs competitive seasons, player development programmes, and community outreach to grow ice hockey across the country, from Cairo to Alexandria. We're looking for an Operations Coordinator to help keep league operations running smoothly, supporting everything from game-day logistics to league administration.
What you'll do
- Coordinate logistics for league games, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and communication with clubs and officials
- Support the planning and execution of league events, tournaments, and programmes
- Maintain accurate records for schedules, results, and standings, and ensure information is passed along to relevant teams for publishing
- Serve as a point of contact for clubs, officials, and volunteers on operational questions
- Assist with administrative tasks tied to league governance and compliance initiatives
- Help coordinate learn-to-skate camps, junior programmes, and equipment lending logistics
What we're looking for
- Prior experience in an operations, coordination, or administrative role
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple moving parts at once
- Comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders, including clubs, officials, and volunteers
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends around game schedules
- Proficiency with standard office and scheduling tools
- Problem-solving mindset and comfort working in a growing, evolving organization
Nice to have
- Familiarity with sports league operations or event logistics
- Interest in or knowledge of ice hockey
- Experience supporting community outreach or grassroots sports programmes
