The Cairo Nomads finished 2nd at the Union Classic in the UAE, advancing to the final after a strong run through a field featuring teams from Oman, Russia, the UAE, and more. They fell in the championship game to the Cyber Bedouins (UAE) but delivered a statement performance that underscores the rapid growth of Egyptian ice hockey.

Cairo finished 2nd at the Union Classic (Division C), beating Majan (Oman) in the semifinal and falling 3–1 (ENG) to the Cyber Bedouins (UAE) in the final. The field featured teams from Russia, Oman, and the UAE. Michael Mitrakos earned Defenseman of the Tournament.
